Regulatory Requirements Provincial Licensure /Certification/Registration Provincial regulations apply to the dental assisting profession in most Canadian jurisdictions. The NDAEB Theory Exam and Clinical Practice Evaluation may only be part of the licensure/registration/certification requirements in a province. You are advised to contact the CDARA in your province for regulatory information (find more information on the NDAEB website under Registration & Licensure). Returning to Practice A CDARA may require a dental assistant to retake the CPE upon re-entry to practice after a period of time away from the profession. Contact the CDARA for information.
