On the application form, candidates must electronically sign the Consent form allowing the NDAEB to collect, use, disclose and retain personal information. The NDAEB ‘Privacy Policy’ is available on the NDAEB web site, please read it. In the interest of public safety, the NDAEB will automatically release the candidate’s name, Written Exam or Clinical Practice Evaluation (CPE) results (pass or fail), date of exam or CPE and NDAEB certificate number (if applicable) to the Canadian Dental Assisting Regulatory Authority (CDARA) in the province in which a candidate’s address is listed or the province the exam or CPE was completed, or to any other CDARA that may request exam or CPE information about a candidate, and to any other CDARA to which the NDAEB considers appropriate. In Ontario, dental assisting is not regulated. Candidates wishing to have their NDAEB certificate number and name released voluntarily to the Ontario Dental Assistants Association (ODAA), may select the applicable field during the online registration process. The online application form, required documentation and payment must be received by the NDAEB no later than 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time on the application deadline date. Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted. Should any further information for an application be required, or if any documents are missing/not acceptable, candidates will be contacted directly by the NDAEB office by email. Candidates are responsible for checking their email provided during the application process (including “Spam” and “Junk” folders) to receive a communication from NDAEB in time. Candidates who do not follow these requirements risk having their application withdrawn. After submitting an application, please allow up to two (2) weeks to receive an official reply from NDAEB. Once the NDAEB reviews and approves an examination application, candidates will receive an email directing them to the NDAEB Candidate Portal where they will be able to access their registration letter and receipt online. Three (3) weeks prior to the exam date candidates will receive a Booking email from our third-party testing provider, Meazure Learning (Yardstick Inc). The Booking email will provide candidates with information and directives regarding their scheduled date, time and location of their examination, and exam day password setting procedures. Please be aware, the NDAEB exams are computer-based exam at NDAEB authorized test centers. The use of remote online proctored examinations is no longer offered, unless in extreme situations preapproved by the NDAEB. Two (2) weeks prior to the exam date, candidates will receive an email notification from the NDAEB advising that their Admission Letter is available, and they will also receive a secondary confirmation email from Meazure Learning (Yardstick Inc.). This is to act as a reminder to ensure that candidates have received their exam booking confirmation and have read all the required information needed to prepare for exam day.
