Safety glasses (clear glass only) or prescription glasses must be worn at all times in the clinical setting, including the radiography rooms and processing area. Glasses are not required to have side shields. Loops may be worn. Candidates must provide their own loops. Face shields may be worn in addition to safety glasses. Candidates must provide their own face shields. Candidates who refuse to wear safety glasses or prescription glasses will not be permitted to begin the clinical orientation or evaluation session. Gloves Sites will provide latex free gloves. Candidates are permitted to bring their own gloves – GLOVES MUST BE LATEX FREE ONLY. If candidates require specific types of gloves, candidates must bring their own. Gloves must be worn at the chairside during intra-oral procedures and while exposing digital images. A new pair of treatment gloves are required for each procedure. Glove changes are unlimited and at the discretion of the candidate. Masks Sites will provide loop, cone and tie up style masks. Candidates are permitted to bring their own masks. If candidates require a specific type of mask, they must bring their own. Masks must be worn at the chairside during intra-oral procedures and while exposing digital images. Masks can be re-worn and changed at the discretion of the candidate. Mask changes are unlimited and at the discretion of the candidate. Personal Dental Equipment, Instruments, Materials, and Supplies Sites will provide all equipment, instruments and supplies. Personal dental equipment, instruments, materials, and supplies (other than scrub caps/masks/gloves/face shield/loops) will not be permitted. Host Clinic Safety Rules and regulations regarding safety, security and administrative matters will be outlined by the host facility Session Facilitator and/or Clinic Coordinator during the orientation tour.
