NDAEB GNRP Application Checklist Revised March 25, 2026 Graduates of Non-Registered Programs – Checklist of Documents Required for Eligibility Assessment To determine NDAEB eligibility, all applicants trained at a non-registered program (GNRP) are required to follow the NDAEB Candidate Eligibility Assessment Process. Ensure you have all required documents ready prior to starting the application process, especially notarized documents as this will delay your application.  Checklist: • Credential Assessment Fee: o The Credential Assessment Fee is $320.00 with a small credit card processing fee payable by credit card in Canadian funds at the time of application. o The Credential Assessment Fee and credit card processing fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to, your assessment outcome is deemed ineligible for the NDAEB, if you choose not to continue with the NDAEB registration process. o A receipt for payment will be available through the applicant’s Candidate Portal 5-10 business days after the submission of the application. o Due to the cost of administration, the NDAEB does not reimburse over payments of $20.00 or less. • Profile Photo: (Digital photo):  Photo must be in colour  Professional  Face-forward  Taken against a plain white or light-coloured background (passport-style)  Must be high resolution (no low-quality images)  Do not submit a photo of a government ID (e.g., passport or driver’s license)  Photo must not be altered, filtered, or enhanced *If your photo is deemed unacceptable, you will be contacted to provide a new photo, and your application will be delayed. • Original report from one of the following credential assessment agencies in Canada: A) Applicants from a Canadian allied dental health program (that is not a registered dental assisting program listed on the NDAEB website), do not require a third-party agency credential assessment. This includes for example, graduates of dentistry, dental hygiene, dental technician, etc. Please continue to Step 2 for the NDAEB eligibility assessment process. B) Applicants of Programs Outside of Canada are required to submit a credential Assessment from one of the following NDAEB approved agencies below. NDAEB GNRP Application Checklist Revised March 31, 2026 • (WES - Canada) World Education Services [Type of report required: - ICAP - Course-by-Course Report]. Note:  Credential Assessment for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship and USA Educational Credential Assessment will not be accepted. o You must have received a “COMPLETE” status notice from WES prior to being eligible to submit the GNRP online application. **Statuses that are “IN-PROGRESS” or “ON-HOLD” will not be accepted, please contact WES for more information. o When applying for WES, applicants are encouraged to order a duplicate report sent electronically to NDAEB. o Applicants who do not order a duplicate report are required to upload a notarized copy of their WES evaluation, including the detailed course-by-course pages. Applicants are advised to retain their original notarized documents, as they may be requested to mail them to the NDAEB office for verification and authentication purposes. Your GNRP application will remain as “Pending” status in the event the NDAEB is unable to verify the validity of the notarized uploaded copies. If needed, you will be contacted by NDAEB with further directives. o (ICES) International Credentials Evaluation Service [Type of report required: - Comprehensive Report]. o Note: Applicants using ICES for credential assessment must upload a notarized copy of their ICES report. Applicants are advised to retain their original notarized documents, as they may be requested to mail them to the NDAEB office for verification and authentication purposes. Your GNRP application will remain as “Pending” status in the event the NDAEB is unable to verify the validity of the notarized uploaded copies. If needed, you will be contacted by NDAEB with further directives. • (IQAS) International Qualifications Assessment Service [Type of report required: - Specialized Certificate. o Note: Applicants using IQAS for credential assessment must upload a notarized copy of their IQAS report. Applicants are advised to retain their original notarized documents, as they may be requested to mail them to the NDAEB office for verification and authentication purposes. Your eligibility assessment will remain as “Pending” status in the event the NDAEB is unable to verify the validity of the notarized uploaded copies. If needed, you will be contacted by NDAEB with further directives. OR • (NDEB) National Dental Examining Board of Canada. Applicants who have applied to the NDEB and have been deemed eligible for dental exams may submit proof of NDEB exam eligibility in lieu of an agency report. o When uploading your NDEB Connect profile you MUST include your photo, personal contact information, university & graduation information, and approved status pages. *Please ensure these pages are saved as one PDF file prior to uploading. o Candidates who do not follow the requirements for the requested NDEB pages risk having their application delayed.

[Ensure you have these documents ready prior to starting the application process] o Copies of academic transcripts and diploma and other supporting documents issued inside and outside of Canada must be certified/notarized as true copies of the original by a notary public, lawyer or commissioner of oaths in Canada. If the original documents are not in English or French, translated copies must also be uploaded and must be certified/notarized as true copies in Canada by a notary public, lawyer or commissioner of oaths. Documents notarized in another country are not acceptable except those that were notarized by Canadian staff at a Canadian embassy or consulate abroad. o Translated documents will ONLY be accepted if certified/notarized in Canada by a notary public, lawyer or commissioner of oaths. *Digital or online notarizations are not accepted. * Please do not upload unnotarized documents to your application. You will be contacted and your application will remain pending. Program Survey Requirements Form must be completed by all applicants. The NDEAB will contact your school accordingly to request a program survey clearly indicating the mandatory core skills required for NDEAB eligibility were included in the program. Applicants must be aware that their NDAEB application status will remain as “Pending” until the NDAEB receives a completed Program Survey from their educational institute. *This survey is a requirement of eligibility. o Important Notice: Applicants must ensure the name, title and direct contact email of their program head is included in the Program Survey Requirements Form. • Proof of name change is required if the name appearing on the academic records or other documents submitted to the NDAEB does not match the name used in your application (e.g., abbreviated, initials only, or different spelling), a copy of a marriage or divorce certificate, affidavit or proof of legal name change is required for the NDAEB to verify and reconcile the name on the application with the name appearing on the academic records and other documents submitted. Documents issued inside and outside of Canada must be certified/notarized by a notary public, lawyer or commissioner of oaths in Canada. If the original documents are not in English or French, translated copies must also be uploaded and must be certified/notarized as true copies in Canada by a notary public, lawyer or commissioner of oaths. *Digital or online notarizations are not accepted. • Deadline for Assessments: Documents required for credential assessment must be received by the NDAEB office at least three (3) weeks prior to the CPE application registration day. Documents received after the GNRP deadline will not be guaranteed assessment for NDAEB eligibility for the applied CPE sitting. • Timeline for Assessment Approvals: Please allow 4-6 weeks for review. If you are missing documents, you will be contacted. *Any missing or incorrect documents will delay your assessment. *Important Notice: Applicants are advised to retain their original notarized documents, as they may be requested to mail them to the NDAEB office for verification and authentication purposes. Your application will remain as “Pending” status in the event the NDAEB is unable to verify the validity of the notarized uploaded copies.
